Self Sufficient Inner City

This garden caters for a young family who love being outdoors and who have a hands-on approach to gardening. It is a small but unique edible garden which is located in the inner city suburb of Highgate Hill in Brisbane. With a space of only 66 square meters it provides food, a place to relax, a place to entertain day or night and a special place that is unique to its’ owners.

This garden is more than a view outside or from the street, it is a garden that brings people together.

The planter boxes and pond are at sitting height for additional seating for family and friends.

The plants include a variety of seasonal change with Corn, Tomatoes, Beans, Lettuce, Sunflowers, Beetroot, Celery and Chives. Passionfruit is located over the lower deck, providing shade and of course delicious fruit bound for the bowl with a scoop of ice cream.

Zucchini grows rapidly over the edge and across the water tank, it makes great use of any structure to grow on and has provided bucket loads of zucchini.
